Mara is a contributor for Reader's Digest who specializes in all things entertainment and writes the RD Recommends movie previews for the magazine. An entertainment journalist for more than two decades, she’s written cover stories, interviews, features, personal essays and columns for the New York Times, the Ringer, Vulture, Parade, CNN, Backstage, TV Guide, Rolling Stone, Architectural Digest, the Hollywood Reporter, Esquire, Variety and more. She also moderates many celebrity panels and Q&As. A former deputy editor for Us Weekly magazine, she was a full-time staffer for 15 years.
