Janelle began writing in 2020 as a passion project to share how and where to travel with cats, and soon after, she traded in her decade-long career as a biologist to become a full-time journalist. She has written hundreds of articles about cat and dog health and behavior, and has tested dozens of pet products, regularly contributing to top-tier publications including Reader's Digest, Forbes, PetMD, Insider, Daily Paws and NBC Universal. She has also been published in Paw Print magazine, Inside Your Cat's Mind and Inside Your Dog's Mind, and is a three-time Cat Writers' Association Certificate of Excellence winner.
