Prince Harry may have royal blood, but he’s not above eating like everyday folk. After leaving his full-time royal duties, he’s adjusted to life in the United States better than you might’ve expected from a palace-raised Briton. In fact, his wife, Meghan, noted that ever since the couple relocated to California in 2020, Harry has slowly been picking up some rather American habits—including cruising through the drive-thru of one of America’s favorite fast-food chains. That begs the question: What is Prince Harry’s favorite fast-food joint?

If you’re curious to know, you’re in for a treat. Ahead, we’re sharing where the duke loves to grab a quick bite and what he orders when he’s craving something fast and delicious. You just might find yourself heading to the same spot for a royal-worthy meal too!

What is Prince Harry’s favorite fast-food joint?

This might surprise you, but Harry’s favorite fast-food order is an In-N-Out burger.

“It’s funny,” Markle told Variety. “People sometimes think we live in Los Angeles, but we’re a good two hours outside of it. We’re commuters. We drove down recently for a day of back-to-back meetings, equipped with chocolate chip cookies the size of my toddler’s head. Also, my husband’s favorite is In-N-Out. There’s one at the halfway point between L.A. and our neck of the woods.”

She added that they indeed go to the popular fast-food joint fairly often. “It’s really fun to go through the drive-thru and surprise them,” she said. “They know our order.”

All of which makes us insanely curious: How do you think Harry likes his In-N-Out best? While you can swap out the bun for a lettuce wrap to make it carb-free, we’re guessing Harry hasn’t gone that Californian yet. Maybe he’s more of a classic Double-Double kind of guy.

Why is the In-N-Out burger so good?

Grabbing food to go is par for the course when you’re as busy as this couple, but they’re not the only celebrity fans of the California-based burger chain. Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon and Adele have all posted about eating In-N-Out, and for good reason.

The 100% USDA ground chuck burger meat is never frozen, and it’s free of additives, preservatives and fillers, making for a super fresh-tasting patty.

Animal-style is the term you use when you want your burger with In-N-Out’s special sauce (it’s basically a ketchup-meets-mayo, Thousand Island type of spread), and you can get your onions raw, caramelized or even grilled. The bun comes from a local California bakery, and it’s a sponge dough that rises for seven hours—perfect for sopping up all the flavors.
