McDonald’s Is Introducing a New Frappé Flavor—Here’s What to Know

It’s no secret among coffee lovers that McDonald’s McCafé seriously holds its own against other popular coffee chains, like Starbucks and Dunkin’. McDonald’s coffee is great—especially for the price—but it’s the restaurant’s signature frappés that will satisfy your sweet tooth and coffee craving at the same time. Good news! McDonald’s just announced a new limited-time-only frappé flavor to the menu, and it’s worth getting excited about.
Read on to find out everything we know so far about the newest McCafé item, including when you can try it for yourself.

What is the new frappé flavor?
Not since McDonald’s announced a long-awaited McFlurry makeover has there been such a sweet addition to the menu. McDonald’s brand-new dulce de leche frappé is the latest McCafé beverage headed for restaurants nationwide. The frozen coffee drink features McDonald’s signature caramel frappé base with a subtle coffee flavor and rich dulce de leche syrup blended with ice, then topped with whipped cream and a crunchy caramel topping. The dulce de leche frappé joins McDonald’s caramel and mocha frappés, which are beloved menu staples, making it harder than ever to choose a flavor!
When will the new dulche de leche frappé be available?
While the new dulce de leche frappé won’t officially make its McDonald’s menu debut until Oct. 30, some locations across the country have already started offering the sweet coffee confection. The next time you drive up to McDonald’s only to find that the McFlurry machine is McBroken, worry not, because the new dulche de leche frappé is the only sweet treat you’ll need.
The drink comes in small, medium and large sizes, and according to McDonald’s, it will be available only for a limited time, so make sure to stop by your local McDonald’s pronto. There’s no telling how long the dulche de leche frappé will stick around.
