Good News! Disney World Is Getting a Lot Cheaper … for Certain Guests

Disney World may be “The Happiest Place on Earth,” but that happiness comes at a price—and these days, it’s a hefty one. A trip to Disney World has gotten exponentially more expensive over the years, with the average ticket price steadily rising from its initial $3.50 back in 1971. (Yes, that decimal is in the right place!) Now, you’ll pay anywhere from $109 to almost $200 per ticket, which means that for even a very average-sized four-person family, you’re talking hundreds of dollars for a single day at a single park. And if you have more than two kids? We’re sad just thinking about that math.
But we’re about to make you a whole lot happier: Disney just dropped an amazing deal that will make visiting much more affordable. But there’s a catch—it’s only an amazing deal for certain guests.
Keep reading to find out if you can score this deal for your next Disney World trip and exactly how much money you’ll save.

Who is Disney World getting cheaper for?
A trip to Disney World will be much cheaper for families with young children—50% cheaper, to be exact. To qualify for this deal, kids need to be between the ages of 3 and 9, and your family needs to book the trip in a specific window between late spring through early fall, for three days or longer.
Some additional good news? You can book tickets to any of the Disney World parks—Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom. You’re also allowed to add on the Park Hopper Option to visit multiple parks in the same day and the water park and sports option too.
When does the discounted offer run?
If you want to scoop up these tickets for yourself and your family, the time is now! Beginning on Thursday, March 27, half-price kids tickets will be available for purchase. The deal is valid for any visit between May 27, 2025, and September 20, 2025, on tickets for three days or longer.
Just remember, Disney World is hot in the summer! On an average day in July in Orlando, those Florida temperatures can creep up over 90 degrees, so make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and drink lots of water.
How much will this save you?
While admission to Disney World varies slightly depending on the day, the cost of a three-day ticket to a single park per day for a child between the ages of 3 and 9 can cost around $450 on the cheapest days. So a 50% discount means families can save at least $225—a figure that only increases if you have more children, a longer stay or passes with the Park Hopper option. Those savings can seriously add up, especially if you have multiple kids!
How do you get the discounted tickets?
Buying the half-price children’s tickets is easy. All you have to do is visit www.DisneyWorld.com/Offers starting on Thursday, March 27, and you’ll be able to purchase the deal. There’s no clear end date to this promotion, so you’ll definitely want to book this sweet Disney deal ASAP, since it could disappear before you know it.
How else can you save money at Disney?
Disney offers ways to help you save a significant amount of money—if you know where to look. Here are some things you need to know:
- In 2025, Disney Resort hotel guests can get into any Disney water park for free on the day they check in. That’s huge, since it normally costs $74 for a single adult ticket and $68 for a child’s ticket. So those tickets could cost $284 for a family of four! All you have to do to take advantage of this perk is download the My Disney Experience app; your admission will be automatically loaded on the day that you check in.
- You can also get a free dining plan when you book a minimum four-night, four-day package at select Disney Resort Hotels and tickets with a Park Hopper option—as long as it’s not at a discounted rate.
- If the kiddie deal noted above doesn’t work for your family, there’s another promotion going on right now for a three-day, three-park ticket starting at $89 per day ($267 total, plus tax). If you book this promotion and visit between April 6 and Sept. 22, 2025, you’ll get admission to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Just be aware that you can visit only one theme park per day, and this promotion is not valid for admission to Magic Kingdom.
- There are also a number of sneaky ways that Disney tries to get you to spend more while you’re at the parks, so make sure to be aware of them and plan accordingly!
